About the Artist

Mayra is a photographer and textile artist based in Oaxaca, Mexico. Her work explores the intersection of photography and embroidery, weaving thread and image to uncover the poetry in everyday life.

She has exhibited internationally and led workshops in several countries, sharing her approach to transforming photographs into tactile expressions of memory and emotion. Through her teaching, Mayra invites participants to slow down, observe closely, and find beauty in the ordinary.
